The purpose of yoga is to still the fluctuations of the mind. Step off of busy Central Avenue into a place of peace and stillness. Our yoga programs can help you access the deep sense of calm inherent to each of us. Yoga also helps to strengthen your body and improve your health. We have a dedicated and experienced team of yoga instructors ready to meet you right where you are. Meditation classes are also available. Beginners are welcome.
"Original QiGong" (Chi Gung), is a non-violent, Asian martial art, that offers students easy postures and movements for daily, at-home practice. QiGong tends to promote healing, physical and mental development, peacefulness, strong immunity, greater creativity, "unusual" abilities, and can also open hidden, innate gifts. Our method offers only what is necessary and most efficient for best individual results. Later, students can join "Free-Flow" group practice, for a more dynamic, shared immersion in Qi (Chi) energy. In all situations, one can also opt to receive individually-focused healing applications from us, which are included in all classes.
Master Cheng Hsiang Yu was perhaps the best Tai Chi master in the New York area. He combined an older style of the Yang Tai Chi form with Shaolin Kung Fu for a complete system of health and self defense. Our system focuses on his Tai Chi methods, and uses the Aikido weapons system to focus on proper use of martial force. The founder of Aikido was one of the great martial artists in history, and Morihiro Saito was one of his top students. Through this lineage, our members have access to some of the great martial arts practitioners. Our style is known for a step by step approach learning self defense basics against strong grabs up to the highest level of martial arts training.
